My Journey As a Writer

There was a turn in time when I desired to be a writer, and I made it my mission to learn to write every day. I worked myself to the bone writing for hours on end.

writing is a passion

I wrote anything that came to mind. The more I put into my writing, the more I got out of it.

Now I am not a professional writer, nor do I have all the tricks up my sleeve to become one. I don’t know how to get from point A to point B. But I do know how to make my artwork for me. That’s why I’m giving out my story to you. It’s my way of getting the word out about the skills and techniques that I have developed over the years.

What I Learned, It Takes Time:

writing is the task for patience

I used to sit before my computer writing away, trying to write my way through an article or a blog post, but it never seemed to work. I would get frustrated, and I’d end up writing nothing. But as I started using a writing program such as Medium, I started to see results. The writing became easier, faster, and without frustration.

What I discovered is that if you take writing away, what happens? Your creativity takes a big hit; your imagination goes to sleep, your ability to think rationally and creatively gets lowered. People can tell you stories of their writing experiences. They’ll say, “That was so much fun I had when I first started writing,” and they’ll laugh.

But if you get totally rid of writing, you’re not going to get anything done. In fact, you won’t get any accomplished at all. It will all be put aside, like all other things that are valuable in our culture. You’ve got to nurture that writing. Start with writing ten articles a day and get them out there and then see results. You will have a polished mind.

writing takes you to other kingdoms, a kingdom of imagination

When you get a lot of results from writing articles, start looking for other ways to create content. Article writing is only the beginning. There are so ample things you can do in writing. It’s not about creating content; it’s about expressing your inner self. Writing is just the beginning.

When The Inception Takes Place:

There is one thing you have to remember about expressing yourself. There is a right way and a wrong way to express yourself. You don’t want to sound robotic. You want to sound natural, so people get an idea of who you really are.

Once you are able to really express yourself, the writing comes in. That’s the true birth of the art. When you can express yourself in writing, then you can truly live your life. It’s not just talent; it’s your calling.

Shun All Your Ridicules Thoughts:

I know that many times when I get a question on my blog or on my website, people are disappointed. They think I’m not good enough. Maybe they don’t have the “it” that I think they need. They may even be afraid of trying to get me to write more articles. You have to understand that writing articles isn’t easy. If you’re not a naturally good writer, you will have to work very hard for it.

On the other hand, if you’re naturally creative, it will come through loud and clear — my story starts off as a small blurb about my personal journey. But once I started sharing my ideas, people loved it. I just kept writing and sharing until I no longer had any writing to do.

Now I’m in my third year of being a writer. I’ve been blessed enough to have my writing pay off. I’m working in a department of a printing company now and getting paid to do what I love. I’m also getting to help other people get on their same “writing” path.

My message to you is this: Don’t give up! Nothing in this world is ever impossible. I just like to think that things can be done in spite of obstacles. The art comes in when we let it come in. Keep writing and sharing your ideas; the rewards will be incredible.
